ACTRESS Patti currently tours with the Paul Morse Acting Company, Artist In Residence, at the Los Angeles Music Center. She performs the role of Harriet Tubman, in the play "Letters To Harriet. " Musiversal, Lift Every Voice, and Let Freedom Sing, are 3 self written one woman musical vingettes performed by Miss Henley. Other credits include: Achieving The Dream, written and starring the late Yolanda King, daughter of the late Dr. Martin Luther King. Porgy and Bess, with the Los Angeles Civic Opera, Oh Mary Don't You Weep, South Pacific, The Billy Holiday Story, and The Message Is In The Music, written and starring Della Reese.
EDUCATOR Patti taught music and drama to K-8 at the Cultural and Language Academy of Success, a charter school in Inglewood Calif. She served as Youth Director at Tree Of Life New Thought Center in Pasadena Calif. and Summer enrichment classes at California Wiz Kids in Los Angeles. Patti has served as musical coordinator for the Girl Scouts of America at their holiday Christmas celebration. And she coached teen and preteen pageant contestants.
WRITER Patti has penned several plays: "The Armants", a web series, is about a multi-generational family, transplanted to Los angeles, from New Orleans. A dramedy that covers the lives of all the family members from 7 to 80 years old. "We Were There ". A documentary about the Chicago civil rights movement of the late 60's and 70's "Room At The Inn" a Christmas Holiday story "Black People Who Knew" a musical that chronicles events in African American history. "Didn't It Rain" a Black History skit.
TRAINING Miss Henley attended Eureka College, in Eureka Ill.. She studies voice from Nathan Lamb, in Los Angeles calif. at the Simon Wisenthal Academy, and studied theatre with Ed Cambridge, at the Kilpatrick/Cambridge Actors workshop at Warner Brothers Studios.
